PBG Networks transceivers are produced by the same contract manufacturers (CM) that produce transceivers for the major OEMs. Each CM undergoes onsite validation and auditing to maintain guaranteed adherence to MSA standards. This includes testing of raw materials and finished product. Testing continues with platform and network testing in our labs.
Our rigorous testing program means that our failure rate is actually lower than the average for OEM transceivers. Failure rate for deployed modules is .0029%, that is 1 in 33,600.
All cables are Corning Glass. We use an automated cutting machine. That means cable lengths are accurate. Electronic control polishers create a more precise face reducing signal losses. All cables are validated on a Dorc interferometer. All MPOs are built with US Connect’s MTP and Elite ferrules. Our lead times on custom fiber are a lot less than the big houses which often require 2-3 weeks.
